Turkey's commercial vehicle brand
Anadolu Isuzu continues to increase its successes in the foreign markets. Having
delivered a total of 1000 medium-size coaches and buses solely to the French
market by the end of 2021, Anadolu Isuzu celebrated this achievement it
considers as a symbolic milestone, with a special event held in the city of
Valence. Besides the executives of Fast Concept Car, the distributor of the
company in France, the event was attended by the business partners and customers
of Anadolu Isuzu in the country, as well as representatives of the French
automotive industry press. Delivering a speech at the event, Anadolu Isuzu
General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said:
As Anadolu Isuzu, the commercial
vehicle brand of Turkey, we broke historical records for our company in medium-size
coach and bus exports in 2021. This year, we achieved to be the medium-size
coach export champion for the 18th time. We continue to strengthen
our presence in existing markets, while also expanding into new ones abroad.
France is one of our top priority markets. We are very happy for the success
that we have accomplished which we consider as a turning point on the way
towards greater future achievements, together with Fast Concept Car that has
been our distributor in France since 2015 and keeps increasing its market share
year by year. We have achieved many firsts with Fast Concept Car in the French
market. We exported our first fully electric bus, the NovoCITI Volt, to France
last year. We are going to expand the NovoCITI Volt family with new models this
year. France also ranks as the first among the markets where our Kendo CNG
alternative fuel bus, the winner of the 'Sustainable Bus of the Year 2022'
award in Europe, is in highest demand. Thanks to its 100% Biogas compatible CNG
engine, Kendo provides clean emissions with its more environmentally friendly
features. Providing significant advantages in terms of fuel saving, Kendo
offers the ideal solution in both service and tourism transportation areas
thanks to the comfort and functionality it offers.”
Stating that sustainability is one
of the top priorities for Anadolu Isuzu, Arıkan reminded the company has
recently signed the international Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)
against the negative effects of climate change, and also participated in the
"Drive to Zero" initiative of the commercial vehicle industry, which
aims to achieve 100% zero emissions in new truck and bus sales by 2040. Arıkan concluded his words as follows: “Considering
our wide product range, investments in technology and new energies, R&D
competence and enthusiasm to implement new technologies as Anadolu Isuzu; are
combined with an environmentally friendly partner like FCC that believes in the
future of new energies, adopts innovation and can read the future correctly, I
believe we will have even greater celebrations together in the future. We have
full confidence that the benefit we provide to our customers will continue to
increase, with this long-term cooperation built on 'Trust' and 'Continuous
Development'.”
