Results of the first three quarters reflect Anadolu Isuzu's high domestic and international performance

Anadolu Isuzu's high performance in domestic and international markets was also reflected in the financial results of the period covering January and September 2021. Continuing to investments and production activities for improving its production quality interruptedly, Anadolu Isuzu, which continues its investments and production activities to improve production quality despite the pandemic conditions, has achieved record-breaking successes.

Accelerating its efforts to strengthen its position in existing markets and opening up to new foreign markets during this period, Anadolu Isuzu increased its domestic sales by 103% and export sales by 139%, compared to the same period of the previous year. Anadolu Isuzu's net sales increased by 114%.

Despite the pandemic conditions, Turkey’s commercial vehicle brand Anadolu Isuzu achieved successful financial results with its high performance in domestic and international markets. According to the financial results of the period covering January-September 2021, Anadolu Isuzu's net sales increased by 114% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached to TL 1.485,42 million. In the same period, domestic sales increased by 103%, while export sales increased by 139%. Meanwhile, Anadolu Isuzu's profit before interest and tax (EBITDA) for the period between January and September 2021 increased by 289% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached to TL 150 million.

During the first nine months of 2021, Anadolu Isuzu sold a total of 3.302 vehicles, 2.676 of which were for the domestic market while 626 for the foreign ones. The increase achieved in total sales reached 88% compared to the same period of 2020. Producing in the commercial vehicle segment, Anadolu Isuzu achieved a performance above the sector and market averages in the truck segment. Regarding the domestic sales figures, an increase of 79,9% was recorded in the truck segment while international sales for all segments increased by 91,4%.

Anadolu Isuzu managed the exchange rate risk precisely at a time when exchange rates fluctuated depending on the course of pandemic conditions, global risks and local macroeconomic indicators that had been affecting the world for a long time. Also, handling the worldwide volatility in raw material and freight prices successfully, owing to the long-term contracts, Anadolu Isuzu announced that there is no risk at a level that will affect their financial statements in the short-medium term, regarding chip supply.

Anadolu Isuzu's high performance will extend to the year-end financial results

In his statement on the subject, Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said: “The first three quarters of the year between January and September have been a period full of successes for our company. As Anadolu Isuzu, we have increased our performance in every field at a time when the effects of the pandemic conditions continued. With the products addressing the demands of our customers in domestic and international markets, we increased our sales at high rates compared to the same period of the previous year. While improving our production quality even more by focusing on Industry 4.0 and digitalization efforts, we concentrated on further increasing customer satisfaction as well. And we sold our environmentally friendly and safe vehicles, produced in alignment with our sustainability focus and equipped with innovative technologies, to new markets.

All these efforts were also reflected in the financial results of our company. Our high performance in various areas will extend to our year-end figures as well, just like it has been for the first three quarters. As Anadolu Isuzu we will continue working towards higher targets, strengthening our position in domestic markets, expanding into new markets abroad, and make versatile contributions to the Turkish economy through domestic production.
