Anadolu Isuzu aims to protect both passengers and drivers by reducing the risk of infection of the COVID-19 virus with the measures taken in public transportation vehicles and school bus vehicles. Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said that: “We have developed COVID protection packages for our vehicles under 4 titles: ’Disinfection’, ’Control’,  ’Contact’ and ‘Isolation’.  We are proud to be the first brand to implement this practice in both public transportation and school buses”.

Anadolu Isuzu contributes to protecting the health of both passengers and drivers with the measures taken in its vehicles as part of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce the risk of infection of the virus. The precautions were developed under 4 headings: "Disinfection", "Control", "Contact" and "Isolation" under the name of COVID Prevention Packages. Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said that Anadolu Isuzu is a preferred brand in Turkey and abroad with its high quality, comfortable and safe vehicles. Arıkan said, “As Anadolu Isuzu, we focus on adapting innovation and technological innovations to our products and services. Our R&D and innovation works reinforce our product development power in line with customer demands. In this direction, we continue our efforts to contribute to the safe travel of our passengers and drivers. With the COVID-19 pandemic, our work has gained a new dimension. We are proud of being the first brand to implement this practice in both public transportation and school buses with the COVID-19 precaution packages we developed.

COVID Prevention Packages can be applied in Novociti, Novociti Life, Citibus, Citiport, Novo Series, Turkuaz, Visigo, Interliner, Toro and Novo School models of Anadolu Isuzu. COVID-19 applications can be applied to Anadolu Isuzu vehicles on the market, individually or as a package, by Isuzu authorized services, as they are applied to new factory-made vehicles.

4-step disinfection

In "disinfection" step, UV-C lamps, operated for 1hour, which are used for disinfection processes in laboratories and hospitals, which disrupt the DNA and RNA structures of viruses and are used for disinfection processes, are positioned on the ceiling to minimize pathogens in the vehicle. The UV-C sterilization application, which has been tested and approved by Gebze Technical University and San Rafaelle University, provides disinfection of luggage, especially in the luggage compartment of tourism vehicles. The photocatalyst filter applied to the air conditioner air intake filters of the vehicles and approved by Gebze Technical University and San Rafaelle University is activated with a special light. The pathogens in the air passing through the filter deteriorate and lose their effectiveness. Thus, the air coming from the air conditioner is disinfected continuously, instantaneously and effectively. In addition, hand disinfectants with sensors at the entrance of the vehicle prevent the infection of the virus at the contact points.

Temperature measurement, mask control.

In the "Control" step, with the thermal camera and mask definition application, which are offered as an option, the temperature can be measured, as well as whether the mask is attached or not. Especially in vehicles with certain passengers such as school buses, the whitelist / black list application detects unregistered passengers and warns them. The system also has an audible warning and passenger counting feature. With this feature offered in urban passenger transport and school bus, the occupancy information of the seats can be monitored instantly. Thanks to seat sensors, capacity of public transportation vehicles can be easily controlled.

Social distance is increased by reducing the number of seats in school buses from 29 to 21.

Minimizing the contact in the vehicle is a measure that should be taken both during normal times and this pandemic period. This problem is easily solved with the "Stop" button with sensor applied under the title of "Contact".  Anadolu Isuzu solves the isolation problem with cabins specially designed for each vehicle during the pandemic period. In the "Isolation" step, the cabins prevent any contact with the passengers and ensure the safety of the drivers. In order to maintain social distance and vehicle capacity, warning signs are placed on the floor and on the seats that need to be left empty. Thanks to the flexible seat placement, the vehicle seating arrangements can be adjusted to maintain social distance.
