Anadolu Isuzu, a company of Anadolu Group, has taken an important strategic step in line with its vision of international growth and sustainable value creation. The company has signed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of 75.2% of the shares of SamAuto, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in Central Asia based in Uzbekistan.

Türkiye’s well-established commercial vehicle brand Anadolu Isuzu has signed the share purchase agreement for the acquisition of a 75.2% stake in SamAuto, which has been operating in Uzbekistan for many years in partnership with Japan-based Isuzu and Itochu. In exchange for acquiring the shares, the company is expected to pay a base purchase price of 80 million USD. With 42 years of manufacturing experience, strong R&D capabilities, and a broad product range, Anadolu Isuzu stands out in the commercial vehicle sector. Through this strategic investment, the company aims to expand its operations, strengthen its regional competitiveness, and position SamAuto as an integrated production hub in the region.

“We will represent Türkiye’s engineering and industrial capabilities around the world with even greater strength and pride”
Commenting on the acquisition process, Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan stated: “This investment, aimed at acquiring a majority stake in SamAuto, marks a strategic milestone in Anadolu Isuzu’s global growth journey. With this initiative — the Anadolu Group’s first overseas production move in the automotive sector — we are not only increasing our production capacity, but also combining our strengths in technology, digitalization, and product development with a regional power center. In line with our regional leadership goal under Anadolu Group’s Vision 2035 strategy, we aim to make modern transportation solutions more accessible across the vast geography of Central Asia and to build a stronger international production and innovation network. This investment will enable us to represent Türkiye’s engineering and industrial strength around the world with greater power and pride.”

Anadolu Isuzu’s manufacturing strength will create impact across a wide geography

Developing innovative products in its R&D center and manufacturing them in its own production facilities, Anadolu Isuzu exports to more than 45 countries and continues to expand its export network as part of its determined international growth journey. With this investment, the company moves forward on its path to becoming a strategic integrated production hub operating across a wide geography. As part of the acquisition, certain models produced at SamAuto’s facilities are planned to be added to Anadolu Isuzu’s product range, while some Anadolu Isuzu models will also be produced at the SamAuto factory.

SamAuto’s commercial vehicle manufacturing capabilities will be strengthened by Anadolu Isuzu’s experience

Operating since 1999 at its production facility in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and headquartered in Tashkent, SamAuto offers a wide product portfolio including buses, trucks, pick-ups, and specialty vehicles. The company, which has been operating in partnership with Japan’s Isuzu and Itochu since 2007, is one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in Central Asia. SamAuto’s manufacturing expertise and its extensive sales and after-sales service network in the region will combine with Anadolu Isuzu’s advanced engineering strength, more than 40 years of experience, and the values of the Anadolu Group to create a powerful synergy.
