The company awarded two startups with cash prizes at the Big Bang Startup Challenge, Turkey's largest entrepreneurship event organized by ITU Çekirdek, the Incubation Center of ITU ARI Teknokent, on December 13-14. Within the scope of the event, Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan presented a cash prize of 150,000 TL each to Newky and Powea, two Automotive and Mobility stage startups.

“We support innovative ideas and entrepreneurship”

Speaking at the Big Bang Startup Challenge award ceremony, Arıkan made the following assessments regarding the subject: “The automotive industry is in a comprehensive transformation process. Technologies that change traditional patterns and dynamics and are also defined as 'disruptive innovations' are drawing a new direction for our industry on the road to the future. As Anadolu Isuzu, we are among the actors leading this major transformation with our expertise in commercial vehicle production, strong R&D and design muscles, and smart production infrastructure. In addition to our R&D competencies, we attach importance to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem and growing through business partnerships, and we are happy to have successfully collaborated with and supported many startups to date. In line with this approach, we aim to develop innovative technologies, products and services that will make mobility more environmentally friendly, safe and comfortable with the initiatives we will support within the scope of the cooperation we started with İTÜ Çekirdek this year. Many projects we have witnessed in this innovation race that has been going on for months contain very encouraging examples to reveal the development of entrepreneurship in our country. On this occasion, I congratulate all the startups that have the courage to participate in this race, as well as those who received awards today in the Big Bang Startup Challenge, and thank everyone who contributed."

Anadolu Isuzu aims to develop joint products and services with the startups that are or will be participating in ITU Çekirdek, beyond providing cooperation and support in various fields.
